Kohana Lam (こはならむ)

Overview

Kohana Lam (こはならむ) is a Japanese female singer and YouTuber. She made her major debut in November 2021 on Avex Entertainment. Her work falls within anime and J-pop.

Career

She began studying classical ballet at the age of three and, aiming to become a professional, studied in Italy during her second year of high school, but an injury ended that path. Having lost her place for self-expression, she started out as a "utaite" (cover singer). A meeting with Rio Domura later led her to pursue music activities in earnest.

Her first "sang while crying" cover was Yuuri's "Dry Flower." Imagining being separated from a close friend, she sang with more emotion than usual and broke into tears.

She made her major debut with Avex Entertainment in November 2021. Gomu of HoneyWorks has praised her emotional singing voice and has provided her with songs including "Gomen Nanka Kikitakunakatta," "Mayoeru Hitsuji," "Fukanzen Bana," and "Watashi no Shiawase wa Watashi ga Kimeru no!" In October 2024 (October 23), she took part in the release "Memento Mori Lament Collection Vol.2."

On her YouTube channel she hosts "Kohana Lam RADIO," a collaboration series with a wide range of artists and personalities. Past guests include Rio Domura, Ayaka Konno, Yuika, 40mp, Zettakun, Atsu Mizuno, Hiroe Igeta, KOBASOLO, Hina Hitsujiya, Who-ya Extended, Mikuru Ito, and Karubi Akami, among many others.
