They made their official debut on November 7, 2012, with the single "Color", which served as the ending theme for the TV anime 'Battle Spirits: Sword Eyes'. The group has since become well-known for performing theme songs for various anime series.

In 2016, i☆Ris successfully held their first solo concert at the prestigious Nippon Budokan, solidifying their status as artists. In 2022, the group celebrated their 10th anniversary with a special concert and announced the production of a theatrical anime, 'i☆Ris the Movie - Full Energy!!'.
