Overview

LOZAREENA (Rozarina) is a Japanese singer-songwriter signed to Sony Music Records. Her name comes from the herb "rosalina," known for its soothing and relaxing effects. She has steadily released tie-in songs for anime, television dramas, films and commercials, and her track "何になりたくて、" from her 2020 album spread by word of mouth, mainly among teenage students, passing 7.78 million views on YouTube.

Career

• 2016: Released her first album ロザリーナ independently, launching her career in earnest as a singer. She also wrote, composed and sang the music for a video commercial for Clarino school backpacks ("Tough Rock").
• 2017: Released her debut single "音色," with cover art illustrated by Akihiro Nishino. It collected three tie-ins: "Good Night Mare" (first-season opening of the TV anime Yokai Apartment no Yuga na Nichijo), "音色" (the anime's latest ending theme) and "ドレスコード" (theme song of Kobe Collection 2017 A/W).
• 2018: Made her major debut on April 11 with the single "タラレバ流星群" on Sony Music Records. Sound-produced by Tokyo Recordings, led by Nariaki Obukuro, it received heavy rotation on 40 radio stations nationwide.
• Afterward she regularly released tie-in songs, mainly for anime: the ending "マリオネット" and opening "Over me" for Karakuri Circus, and "ボクラノカタチ," the theme of the NHK BS Premium drama Nodoka no Niwa starring Ai Hashimoto.
• 2019: Her digital-only single "I.m." was selected as NHK's Minna no Uta song for August–September. On September 6 she featured on THE ORAL CIGARETTES' first collaboration, "Don't you think feat. ロザリーナ." She also released "百億光年," the ending theme of the anime Kabukicho Sherlock, which began in October.
• 2020: Released the album INNER UNIVERSE on January 29. On December 25 she sang the title theme of the animated film Poupelle of Chimney Town.
• 2021: Released the single "涙の銀河" (February) and the album 飛べないニケ (March).
• 2022: "Life Road," released digitally on January 19, was used in the Coca-Cola "Fuku Bottle" TV commercial ("Magic Is Right Beside You"), marking her first commercial appearance. From May she also appeared in Amazon Music's brand commercial "Following is Cheering." She followed with "Gloomy Day" (July) and "Face2" (August).
• 2023: On April 12 she released ensemble versions of "何になりたくて、" and "Life Road." "I knew" (April 19) was an insert song for the TV Asahi drama unknown. "my star" (August) and "0×98" (November) followed.
• 2024: Released "タカラモノ" in January. "no plan" (May 8) was the insert song for the film Abunai Deka Returns (released May 24), and the album sweet ring arrived on May 29. In November she appeared as Jasmine in the stage play My Sister Lives on the Mantelpiece at CBGK Shibugeki!! (scheduled November 21 – December 1).
• 2025: Released "chop tap" (June 20) and "where you come from" (August 20). She also appeared as Jun Mikami / JUN in the TV Asahi drama Kanshu no Ryugi, aired June 21.

Musical Style

As a singer-songwriter, LOZAREENA writes and performs her own material, working within J-POP while adapting to the varied demands of anime, drama, film and commercial tie-ins. Her major debut was sound-produced by Tokyo Recordings, and releases such as the ensemble versions of "何になりたくて、" and "Life Road" show her interest in rearranging her songs. In recent years she has also expanded into acting on television and stage.
