Mrs. GREEN APPLE is a Japanese pop-rock band originating from Tokyo, formed in 2013. Career History

Formation and Debut (2013-2015)

Mrs. GREEN APPLE was formed in the spring of 2013 by Motoki Ohmori (vocals, guitar), Hiroto Wakai (guitar), Ayaka Yamanaka (drums), and a former bassist. Later, Ryoka Fujisawa joined as a keyboardist, completing the five-member lineup. On February 4, 2014, they released their demo CD '1st Demo' at live venues.

2015 was a transformative year for the band. On February 18, they released their first nationally distributed CD, 'Progressive', and announced their major debut on March 26. On July 8, they released the mini-album 'Variety' through EMI Records, marking their major debut. In December, they released their first single 'Speaking', which became the ending theme for the anime 'Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V'.

Growth and Success (2016-2019)

On January 13, 2016, they released their first full album 'Twelve', garnering significant attention. They embarked on their first national tour, deepening their connection with fans. In 2017, they released their second album 'Mrs. GREEN APPLE' and hit singles like 'WanteD! WanteD!' which solidified their popularity.

In 2019, they released their fourth album 'Attitude' and successfully completed their first arena tour. The same year saw a leadership change with Kiyokazu Takano becoming the new leader.

Hiatus and Resurgence (2020-2023)

On July 8, 2020, they announced the end of 'Phase 1' and a temporary hiatus following the release of their best album '5'. They resumed activities in 2022, initiating 'Phase 2'. In 2023, they premiered their first terrestrial program 'Mrs. School Quest' on TV Asahi on April 5.
